Donation FAQ
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. HCCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We provide receipts for all gifts.
How do I get a receipt?
We send receipts for all donations. Include your name and email in the payment memo. For corporate matching, send a screenshot to accounts@hccacricket.org and we'll acknowledge it.
Can I direct my gift (e.g., youth scholarship)?
Yes. Include a short note in your payment (e.g., "Youth scholarship" or "Facility improvement"). We honor donor intent when possible.
Is it safe to donate? Where does the money go?
All donations must go only to accounts@hccacricket.org. HCCA never asks for payments to a personal account. Funds are used for youth programs, facilities, equipment, scholarships, and community outreach. Budgets are approved by the Board and shared at the AGM.
Does corporate matching replace membership fees?
No. Corporate matching is for charitable donations only. Membership and training fees must be paid directly to HCCA via Zelle, bank transfer, or PayPal.
Will I be recognized as a donor?
We thank donors in newsletters and at events when appropriate. For sponsorship tiers, recognition scales with partnership level. Contact the Board to discuss recognition options.
